What & Why

Currently, it is mandatory for all heads to be up-and-running to observe any of the on-chain activity. This requires extra coordination between participants and may lead to situations where it's easy to miss an init for example.

To make the experience more delightful and reliable, we want to introduce the ability to start a hydra-node, not from the most recent chain tip, but from a given tip in the past. Allowing thereby the node to replay on-chain events it could have missed.
