Problem with showNumPages=true returning incorrect value

Hi

I use the Wayback CDX Server API in an open source tool that is used for bug bounty by security researchers (https://github.com/xnl-h4ck3r/waymore). I have a problem, but I am unsure if there is something I am doing wrong or if there is a bug with the API...

If I go to the link below, I get back 3 results:
https://web.archive.org/cdx/search/cdx?url=*.twitter.com/*&collapse=&fl=timestamp,original,mimetype,statuscode,digest&filter=original:.*\.js.*

However, if I add showNumPages=true to the end of that I would expect to see 1 for the single page, but I actually get 28903799.

Am I doing something wrong or is there a bug here?
