@galargh lmk if you have bandwidth to do this ("Main release process" instructions are in https://github.com/ipfs/ipfs-desktop/blob/main/DEVELOPER-NOTES.md), or if I should block ~1h for this on Wed/Thu.

I am prioritizing / taking this over due to #2356, which forces us to ship mentioned fix in ipfs-desktop v0.25 to avoid degraded UX during holidays when Kubo 0.18.0-rc1 (ipfs/kubo#9417) appears in the wild.
