Cannot open minecraft bedrock "level.dat" files

strangely enough, i can get it to import but it sits at 0 entries next to level.dat

same here it doesn't really seem to be a useful tool for minecraft bedrock, there isn't anything it knows how to read

I also was unable to edit level.dat files from bedrock, see #114 (comment).

But, https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=Misodee.vscode-nbt supports editing! I've tested it on Linux and it works.
