Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

If there is a connection issue to the backend, Jam displays a the error in a rather rough way, without too much further information. This is what it looks like for a user with connection problems:

Describe the solution you'd like

A clear and concise UI with a more meaningful error message and further explanation on what might be the cause, and a possible solution to the problem (e.g. "check the backend deamon is running", etc.)
