Open beta for the 0.9.10 release!

Another major release for OmniBox is coming up. There are many more OmniBox users today than there were when 0.9.9 was released, so I've allocated more time for testing and user feedback.

Release Date

I am tentatively targeting mid-June to finalize 0.9.10. Final release timing will depend on how quickly I can generate updated documentation and whether any showstoppers appear.

The most visible change to this release is the addition of two more CPU bays, but there are improvements across the case and several new features.

Getting the Files

There is a new git branch, called 0.9.10-beta.

• This branch is a clone of main with parts tested for 0.9.10 merged.
• Untested parts will remain in the unstable branch, as usual.
• You can also go through the 0.9.10 docs to get the files (see next section).

0.9.10 Documentation

The documentation for 0.9.10 point to files in the 0.9.10 branch, i.e. the 0.9.10 documentation preview will direct you to the correct files.

• The 0.9.10 docs will largely be a refresh of the 0.9.9 docs with updated BOM, assembly, and so forth.
• You can switch between documentation versions from the dropdown at the top of the site header.
• The docs are only approximately 10% updated at present.

Other Notes

0.9.9 Frozen

There is a new branch for the 0.9.9 release (called 0.9.9-frozen).

• This branch is a snapshot of the main branch from today and will receive no further updates.
• Every release gets this treatment immediately before another beta starts. This ensures you can always find the old files for your cases. (Note: this does not change anything about compatibility between releases.)

If you're using a part that's flagged as having a pending fit test, please let me know so that I can close the bug report. If you've already told me and it's still open, I apologize for forgetting; please tell me again anyway. 😁
