CanRecycle

This is a simple proof-of-concept Android app made in Android Studio (2012.1.1) that helps users search or identify which items can or cannot be recycled in Singapore. Recycling information is obtained from this website: https://www.towardszerowaste.gov.sg/recycle/what-to-recycle/

Installation

  1. First clone the repo:

     $ git clone https://github.com/jonasongg/CanRecycle

  2. Open the project with Android Studio.

  3. Connect an Android device or launch an emulator.

  4. Click Run in Android Studio to run the app.

Features

CanRecycle features an animated and interactive bottom navigation bar with three tabs: summary, search and list:

  • Summary: Displays a general overview of the types of materials that can be recycled
  • Search: Search for the name of the item or its material to quickly find information on recyclability
  • List: A complete list of items that are available with the ability to sort by material
