We are happy to announce that we have released jq-1.7rc2 and we are very close to releasing 1.7.

Note that this is a pre-release. But we believe that jq is now much more stable than in 1.6 and 1.7rc1. Please see the release notes for details.

Please help us by testing this release candidate version. Any feedback is welcome. Thank you!
