5.16 is not going to be LTS because It is scheduled to be released on january.

Can you create a new patches of xpadneo for 5.15?

Ah ok... Thanks for the links. If GKH decided it, then it will be LTS. It'll take me a few days to rebase and test the patches, and check whether we should port existing patches for Steam or use new ones, also look into the Clearlinux patches, etc... It's not just xpadneo which needs to be ported.

BTW: Are we talking about the Steam patches, or the xpadneo patches here? In the originating issue from xpadneo, I resolved the link to Steam patches - but it doesn't look like that is what you meant...

yeah...
it seems this patchs doesn't compile for me....
I just ignored the output from gcc

This is in spanish "No existe el fichero o el directorio" means "The file or folder doesn't exists"
So xpadneo.h is missing.

You can run with env LANG=C make .... to get English messages. But as a guy knowing some bits of French, having learnt some Latin in school (well, years and years ago) and speaking German natively, I can kind of guess the messages. ;-)

I just tried again with a clean tree, and I think I found the problem. It compiles for me now. Please try again. I'll check in depth later when I integrated the patches into my distribution build system for the kernel. I'm currently in the process of porting the other patchsets over to 5.15, mostly to get Steam patches up and running again for futex.

but when I open steam and cyberpunk the rumble got stuck at 100%.
I think I will use the xpadneo regular one to understand if I have an error from my side and if not try to bisect on xpadneo repository.

I'm seeing the rumble thing reported more often lately... This may be an issue with the Bluetooth stack. I still have to investigate that. I'm 99% sure, tho, that it's not a problem with xpadneo itself, the code ensures that rumble will always stop if no more rumble data is sent.

In particular, you may need to install the udev files that come with xpadneo so it properly manages the permissions for the hidraw device, otherwise games may use rumble in raw mode, and xpadneo has no chance of preventing the firmware bugs of the controller.

I did not put anything on udev so that is probably the issue.
I will try this weekend or the next weekend.
