Upgrade Attempt FDF FR-E520 Water Rower

I am endeavouring to configure my water rower with this wonderful app and the greatest thing ever is that it works.
It lets me connect to Strava and EXR and records the results for me..
Thank you very much for this. FDF keep telling me their new computer is not compatible.

I am trying to get it set up and have questions.
The 10 Stroke log file is

And the journal for the same is (with the config so far)

Having 10 magnets the stroke and return are very vertical and I am unsure how to evaluate them?
The signal looks very clean though.
The calculated drag value is all over the place. Should I be adding these up and getting the average figure?

Hi Gary,

I have a rower of the same brand but a different mode (Neon Pro V). You mentioned "10 magnets" but both my rower and the manual for your FR520 show six magnets. Your config also shows

 numOfImpulsesPerRevolution: 6,\

so I assume that "10 magnets" is a typo.

The signal within FR520_10Strokes_2023-11-14_07-53-34_raw.csv does look clean, apart from a single glitch in the first drive.
Fluctuations of the calculated drag factor are normal for a water rower to some degree, I would remove the static drag factor setting form the config and enable the automatic drag factor calculation:

//dragFactor: 44000,\
autoAdjustDragFactor: true,\

And either you are quite an accomplished rower or your 'flywheelInertia' is not set up properly - doing sub 2:00/500m with a stroke rate of 16 in the latter part of your 6k row is quite remarkable.

Yes 6 magnets. Read what you have written before you press send lol.....
I know the settings are wrong and have gone thru the autoAdjustDragFactor: true bit and the 4400 was the figure I had averaged out previously. It still is out though as you surmised.
I didnt know to remove the actual dragFactor though.
I am upgrading to the beta version and see how that pans out..
