How to use Bookmarklets

Chrome

  1. Open your bookmark bar ⌘ + shift + b
  2. Right click > Add Page
  3. Give your bookmarklet a Name, this will show up in the bookmark bar
  4. In the url add javascript: and then paste the javascript code
  5. Click on the bookmarklet to activate it

Edit Metafield of a Shopify Default Variant

Use at your own risk. The default variant may change if you make certain edits to your product

From the Shopify admin, when you only have the default variant there is no link to manually edit the metafield for the variant. If you navigate directly to the url /products/{product_id}/variants/{variant_id)/metafields you can edit the default variant metafield. This bookmarklet will open the first variant metafield editor.

Get the .myshopify domain of the current store

This will copy the myshopify domain of the Shopify store that you are on to your clipboard. Helpful for stores with a custom domain. This will only work for liquid storefronts.
