Since Android 12 was launched, a new design language Material You was introduced and since Android 13, themed icons was made public. I think monerujo would greatly benefit having a new Material You style and themed icons. https://developer.android.com/about/versions/13/features#themed-app-icons

I second this. The app stands out as being old on my home screen with the absence of an adaptive icon.
