I don't understand thing

When I remove "name.of.game.desktop"
from
~/.local/share/applications/
The game icon from the start menu disappears.
( menu start = Advanced Mate Menu 20.04.1 )

But in the same place it is recommended to create the file
~/.local/share/applications/marco.desktop
for shadow
mate-desktop/mate-panel#193

Do you see anything wrong with that?

Check for autostart applications using mate-session-properties

I'm busy but I'll try check to the end of this month.
On a Virtualbox machine, because now I already have another system.

The menus load the list of programs by reading the .desktop files in /usr/share/applications. Remove any of them and the corrosponding launcher is removed from the menus
