I was searching for a way to set folders in VSCode as bold, especially in the "Search" part. Everything seems too cluttered up and I have a hard time differentiating between filenames and actual code, especially when you always find one entry per file (so it's always a file, then code, then new file, then code, etc). Ideally, in my opinion, you'd have a way to enable or disable a setting to set folders as bold.
I found issue 10748 which is exactly what I'd want, yet it's been locked and limited to collaborators only so I cannot really comment there to try and get attention for it, hence opening a new one. I apologise in advance if this is not the way to do it, but it seemed to be the best approach to me. If not, simply close this issue!
Generally speaking though, I'd like to know if there are any plans on implementing something like this any time soon or not. Thanks!
PS: I couldn't find any info on guidelines regarding these two topics:
What titles to give to "Feature Requests" (Seems to be a normal title simply)
What to do when you want to get information on an issue that is locked and limited to collaborators only

That specific issue didn't receive a lot of traction and therefore was something we don't plan to address in the near future. We try to keep the number of open issues / requests low so that we can better prioritize what we act on. I think in general it sounds like in order to implement everyone's requested UI customizations we probably would need to do #1833.
This feature request is now a candidate for our backlog. The community has 60 days to upvote the issue. If it receives 20 upvotes we will move it to our backlog. If not, we will close it. To learn more about how we handle feature requests, please see our documentation.
This feature request has not yet received the 20 community upvotes it takes to make to our backlog. 10 days to go. To learn more about how we handle feature requests, please see our documentation.
🙁 In the last 60 days, this feature request has received less than 20 community upvotes and we closed it. Still a big Thank You to you for taking the time to create this issue! To learn more about how we handle feature requests, please see our documentation.
