#44307 changes the markdown preview so that it dynamically updates to show whatever document you are working on. Some users would like to keep the existing 1:1 correspondence between previews and documents

Rather than adding a setting to restore the old behavior, I propose that we add the concept of "pinned" previews that are locked to the current document. A new Show Pinned preview to Side command would also be added
