Note to self: tried using salt.config.apply_minion_config, but having the cachedir (and others) pointing to a different location than the "Master" (so to say), means that the temporary, standalone PMs will need to fetch that cache from the Master (even though that means it'll have to copy that across from just here to there). Not convinced it's worth the price, but I'll keep this open maybe there are other good ways I'm not seeing right now.
