Track skips when being unpaused with quantize enabled if other deck is not playing #8800
Comments
Commented by: Be-ing Do you have quantize on? I think this might be a bug with quantize. |
Commented by: Be-ing Or maybe it's quantize working as intended and you're not expecting that. Quantize should correct play button presses that are off beat. |
Commented by: lordfischer11 Yes I do have quantize on, I'll turn it off and check. I didn't even think of that! |
Commented by: lordfischer11 Ok, I tried suggestions. It does seem to be related to quantization, as turning this off causes the bug to go away. Attached an mp3 recording for better understanding, note when music becomes unpaused the skipping. |

Status: Fix Released
Importance: Medium
Launchpad Issue: lp1663444
Attachments: mixxxbug.mp3
Track skips ahead while coming unpaused, but only while there's another track loaded in other deck.
Computer:
Mixxx 2.0.0 64bit
Windows 10
Intel Processor i7, 3.5Ghz, 16g ram
Behringer external soundcard
Nvidia Geforce 750ti
Steps to reproduce:
-Open Mixxx
-Load 2 different tracks in the left and right decks (i think thats what they are called)
-Play and pause. Notice skipping!
Other info:
I'll try to test on Ubuntu Linux as well to reproduce it there.
Seems to not be isolated to specific songs, formats, or other variables.
Have tried reinstalling mixxx with fresh copy from website.
I can provide other info/ testing if needed.
