It would be nice if users could save a snapshot of the state of an effect's parameters, metaknob linking, and parameter order (Bug #⁠1653325) that would be restored when that effect was loaded again (in any effect slot). These would be independent of saved chains (Bug #⁠1707961). When a saved chain is loaded, the saved state of the chain should override any per-effect defaults.

I think a single button could be added to the expanded view of effect units to save the snapshot. Right clicking that button could reset the stored default to the "default default" shipped with Mixxx.
