Purging a track should undo all action s related to this track. It is intended that the track is discovered by the library scanner again as if it where a new track.
This does not work because the library scanner skips the directory because the directory hash is unchanged. This can be fixed by deleting the directory hash of the purged track's directory.

Oh, the obvious workaround to drop the track into the player does not work.
Maybe this is the source of the reported drag and drop issues.
