uncompressor.sh

uncompress files without having to remember arguments.

Installation

$ git clone https://github.com/movesmyers/uncompressor.sh.git /tmp/uncompressor
$ [sudo] make -C /tmp/uncompressor install

Usage

$ uncompressor [--help, --remove] file [extraction directory]

uncompressable file extensions:

  • .zip
  • .tar
  • .tar.gz
  • .tgz
  • .tar.bz2
  • .tbz

If no directory is specified on the command line, files will be extracted into your current directory.

The --remove switch removes the original file (without prompting) after successful decompression.
