Hi dyargici! One primary obstacle is interfacing with the cameras. OpenCV provides quite a solid interface for connecting with webcams on Mac and Windows, but things fall apart a bit on linux. I've done some preliminary investigations of vl42 that seem promising though time constraints have limited my ability to do that. And I suppose it may work on linux... I think I last tested things on Ubuntu 20 on an old laptop...seems like solutions are always one random install away, but finding that install can become increasingly time consuming. If your experience with linux gives you any insights into good paths forward, please let me know! Thank you for your interest in the project! Best, Mac |

Hi Mac, thanks for the reply. I'm no linux guru by any stretch! I've just become reasonably adept at hacking and slashing until I can get random things that pique my interest on GitHub working using venvs and conda etc. I work in VFX and have been keeping an eye on developments in basic markerless mocap for fast tests etc. Feels like this approach has some positive momentum. Side note - I have an OAK-D-Lite that was a drunk-on-the-train-home kickstarter impulse purchase that I've barely touched. If you're interested and are willing to pay the shipping (I'm in the UK) I'd be happy to gift it to a new home. |

I'm very interested in this project and it looks like it's taking shape at a great pace, congratulations!
I'm just curious as to what the roadblocks are that currently prevent a Linux version? I use Linux exclusively both at work and at home and would love to test a Linux version.
