Provide support for rigid body rotation in registration

@anotherGithubLearner, has run into an issue with registration that appears to be caused by a rotation. This would result in the addition of another degree of freedom for each frame when trying to find the optimal transform. It would be worth checking if this can be done within the existing optimizations.
