Visualisations just Open Black Screen

On linux, 95% of the time when I open the Forest Walk or Infinite Tunnel (tunnel is usually my go-to), once the session starts, I just get a black screen. Then on the odd occasion it works and the visualisation starts. so far I haven't been able top find any variable that determines it works or doesn't. Once I am gelled up and plugged in, I'm opening, alt-tabbing to get out (because it opens in full screen, so I can no longer see the Studio), starting the classifier, switching back to the classifer, and then closing it down, stopping the session and repeating the process over again.

I don't think I have any logs but will amend this report if I do. It just seems to fail silently.
