To be frank, most of this stuff is from previous forks, so i dont know exactly how everything works. But the main feature you should try out is the "Content Provider Preview" For some apps you might need to also toggle the 'local' setting. Depending on what you mean with "mount", it is a misconception. If you mean a classic linux-style-mount, then you are incorrect. ;) Afaik there is no way to achieve this kind of mount. But if your backup-solution supports the SAF introduced with android 11 or so, then you should be fine with the way i described. Please be adviced, this feature is largely untested and might contain bugs. Sadly i simply don't have the nessessary time to get into every feature and it might be a while until it is considered stable. So your mileage may vary. (However, if you find bugs, please report them! (Except the %1$d subtitle issue, i know about that one) |

Thanks for the pointers, I understand much of it is old code, so I'll just give it all a try. When I talked about “mount” I referred to rclone mount: https://rclone.org/commands/rclone_mount/ |

Yes, I found the setting under “file access” called “allow all apps to access your remotes” but what now?
The use case is: I was doing backups on my phone locally and then syncing them via a 3rd party tool. When I discovered round sync I thought it could mount a remote and I would be able to point my backup tool at it, so the backups would go straight to my remote.
Is this a misconception?
If not, please somebody give me some hints.
