Keep nixvim flake from being cleaned with nix-store --gc

I'm using nixvim as a separate flake from main nixos flake, and nixvim gets cleaned once I do nix-store --gc.

How can I prevent this?

On the other hand, nixvim leaves a lot of store garbage, as I frequently modify my config and it creates store entries on every rebuild. It would be great to keep only the latest actual store.

Is it possible to implement this without some crazy overengineered solution?
