Request to move Education to CommComm #282
Comments
Sounds perfectly reasonable to me, +1. /cc @nodejs/tsc |
+1 from me too (I'm voting as a TSC member here). |
Seems like education does fit with the CommComm scope. @Trott since you've lead the code and learns which would be education related do you have thoughts on this ? |
Works for me. Is evangelism wg also looking to move? |
No thoughts. @addaleax and @hackygolucky have (respectively) led and organized more Code + Learns than I have and I'm happy to defer to their judgment on this. |
There have been some informal discussions in the past that were positive, but nothing official as of yet. EDIT: nodejs/evangelism#294, thanks for the reminder @jasnell! |
Well, one more. 😄 I don’t expect it to make much of a difference, the TSC didn’t really get involved beyond travel funding for mentors. |
So... I think this is unnecessary, as in, the request to move. That group is not officially chartered under the TSC or CTC, and hasn't even really actively existed in conjunction with either informally. So really If anyone who has significantly contributed agrees to move it, or I suppose request to the CommComm that it be taken under the CommComm I think it is good to go in that regard. |
Definitely agree with @Fishrock123. There is no chartered Education WG under the TSC so there's no need to "move" it :-) |
Untagging as I don't think there is anything to agenda-wise discuss here... |
Agreed, and I recommend we close this issue since the TSC doesn't need to sign off on it. As mentioned in the OP, there's already an issue open in CommComm for the move too. |
This is a request per the discussions with CommComm and scope to move Education under the CommComm umbrella from the TSC. There is no WG charter, so this is more of a request for the TSC's blessing to move over :)
