I think it would be ideal if io.js could have a blog on iojs.org. Using a third-party hosted publishing platform (namely, Medium) for an open-source, forward thinking software is icky to me. Many reasons to have a self-hosted blog...
io.js owns the content--it can't be manipulated, taken down, etc. without io.js' explicit approval
We can ensure it is just as stable as the rest of the site
We can control exactly how it is displayed--no unexpected CSS, layout, or feature changes
Everything informational will be centralized on iojs.org
