This code

var events = require('events');
var emitter = new events.EventEmitter();
emitter.emit('error');

throws:

events.js:74
        throw TypeError('Uncaught, unspecified "error" event.');
              ^
TypeError: Uncaught, unspecified "error" event.
    at TypeError (<anonymous>)

If I have at least one emitter.on('error', ...) listener it doesn't throw

@Munter Where is this in the docs?

I am looking here:
https://nodejs.org/api/events.html#events_emitter_emit_event_arg1_arg2

And it says it should return a boolean but nothing about throwing an error. Has this documentation regressed?
