What is the problem this feature will solve?
Cloudflare recently contributed a specification for their Socket API (
connect()) to WinterCG proposal-sockets-api. WinterCG is interested in including it as part of the Minimum Common API once the specification is more complete.What is the feature you are proposing to solve the problem?
I'm currently working on a Node.js implementation, and once it is complete I'd love to contribute it to Node.js
As such, I'd love to begin the discussion now how Node.js feels about the API proposal and if it would be something Node would consider adopting.
Not sure if there is a better forum to have this discussion (maybe in GitHub Discussions instead?). Happy to move it somewhere else if we wish.
