Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Whenever an update is made to the /po/resources.pot file is made, an update to the translations is needed.
However, as far as I know, we translators get no notification that this file has been updated, and we're not made aware of the need to update our translations.
I've tried to set up some kind of notification that watches the POT file for changes, but I couldn't find a way to do so (my Git knowledge is not very deep).
Describe the solution you'd like
Iotas, another app for which I maintain a Brazilian Portuguese translation, has a very simple system:
The main dev created this issue to inform translators about updates to the POT file;
We translators can sign up to get notified about new comments in the issue (here in GitHub it works in the same way);
Whenever an update is made to the POT file, the dev warns us with a new comment and everybody who subscribed to the issue gets notified ans starts working on updating the translations according to the new strings.
The dev also tries to inform us of the release date he is aiming for, so we can plan accordingly, but that's just a bonus.
The main thing here is to find a way for us to get notified and get the translations done, hopefully in time for the next release.
I believe this system would be of great help here, too.
Describe alternatives you've considered
I've considered the possibility of sending e-mails to the translators to let them know about the updates, as the developer of Folio does, but I believe it is both too cumbersome and quite frankly overkill for this purpose.
