First of all, thank you for creating this extension. You're my saviour.
I no longer need to debug a source code that I wasn't aiming for.
Inability to detect the active sketch was honestly nonsense,
because it was no different than to use arduino-cli on raw terminal vim.
(and worse than vim if you use vim with arduino-cli plugin)
It's a very obvious must-have function to the original arduino extension.
Is it possible to PR to the arduino-vscode or fork it and make a variant extension?

I have as a matter of fact already created a pull request adding an api to the vscode arduino extension however it has become clear the owners of the repository are no longer maintaining it. I am considering if i should try to make an extension that simplifies the use of platformio or fork the original arduino extension instead.
