I've been considering various ways that O3DE/O3DF can demonstrate a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
One area that would improve visibility and accountability for the project's commitment to DEI is a public pledge with a yearly status report to indicate progress on a path towards reaching gender/racial diversity targets for the open source project's leadership roles (e.g. the technical steering committee and SIGs). An example of such a report is the Mozilla Diversity and Inclusion Report, which breaks down different measurements of diversity around gender, race, ethnicity
This would include the process of a) identifying which organizational group within O3DE/O3DF is responsible for setting and measuring targets, and including this in their charter, b) measuring progress towards goals on an ongoing basis, and c) creating and publishing the results on an annual (or otherwise defined cadence) to the website or other location where partners, contributors, and the public could review the work being done to encourage diverse leadership in the project.
