Hi Elliot,

I can't help you programming (although I am starting to learn javascript), but I have an Idea for a great enhancement.

Include waveforms.
They are really helpful, when you want to scan interviews for parts, you want to transcribe.

Maybe a tool like that would help: http://wavesurfer-js.org

Another thing would be markers.
Although large .wav-files don't slow down the browser.
