Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

we have the need to monitor all the collectors we have in a network. By means of a script, we would update this file with the endpoints to monitor (http_check)

Describe the solution you'd like

The solution we propose is to create an observer that is able to read a file located in a path and be able to specify how often it has to read from the file.

Describe alternatives you've considered

I would assume this is already supported by the confmap providers.

We support loading arbitrary sections of the configuration from a file, but not the reloading (a work around today would be to stop and start the Collector)

Sounds like an enhancement request then? From my perspective what this issue describes fits better in the confmap providers not implementing it as an observer.

Yeah, this can be a feature request on the file provider
