We now have official liaisons with the Technical Council!

Since November 2022, as part of the Council's initiative to actively support SIGs and ensure information flow, our SIG is joined by Helena Bermudez-Otero and Magdalena Turska. Helena has been involved in several linguistic projects, and Magda's projects have at least brushed against linguistic issues or even squarely addressed lexicographic issues (as evidenced by Magda's presentation at one of the LingSIG workshops). For a time, or hopefully for ever, we are also supported by Peter Stadler, who has been an informal liaison of the SIG for years (since the Berlin meeting of the standOff group in January 2014 (!). Among other things, Peter has made it possible for the SIG repository to be hooked to the Jenkins services also used by the Council.

Given this level of support and a guarantee of cooperation with the Council, it is time for us to come out of our closets ;-) and see if we can think of doing some things together rather than doing them separately, as has been the custom of this SIG till now. We're going to start having regular Zoom meetings (monthly or bi-monthly -- that is to be decided), to get things rolling and to keep them rolling. Cheers! :-)
