Desktop app High CPU usage windows 10 #11788
Comments
I transferred this to the desktop client repo, as the report is about that software. |
@TayloredMedia Please describe what the client is displaying while its cpu load is high (the view displaying the folder and the progress bar etc). |

I replied to the email received on the 12th Ausust but my reply does not appear here. Attached are screenshots of Windows Task Manager showing Owncloud High CPU usage and soon after Owncloud not responding. There are 5 log files in the owncloud Temp directory. I have not received a reply and the problem remains. |
Please zip and upload all files to the above location. |
The High CPU load is displayed every time owncloud is preparing to sync and syncing. This occurs every 3 to 5 minutes. It causes owncloud to stop responding as well as windows explorer and other applications. I have uploaded the log files to the share folder as indicated in your request. |

The issue remains unsolved as I am awaiting reply sent on the 16th September. |
Since the update of the desktop app to Owncloud version -5.3.1.14018.x64, while owncloud is running, it is frequently using a large % of CPU resources causing windows explorer and other applications to hang.
Quiting the client or uninstalling the client and the problem goes away.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app but the problem remains.
