This repo acts as:
- A place for describing improvements which we may consider making to Oxc, but aren't current areas of work.
- A dumping ground for the thoughts and ideas of the core team.
Unlike issues in main Oxc repo, issues filed here are not intended to be implemented immediately. Please also note that the way ideas are outlined here may be sketchy or incomplete. Some of them may also be terrible ideas!
When something here becomes a current area of focus and is ready for implementation, we will firm up the details and then transfer the issue to main Oxc repo.
We have made this repo public so everyone with a stake in Oxc has opportunity to "see into the minds" of the core team, and some of the thoughts which are in play. But it's read-only, to try to avoid generating a lot of conversation about ideas which may not be really ready for much scrutiny/discussion. We hope this strikes a good balance between working in the open, while avoiding the maintainers getting over-loaded.
If any of the issues in this repo are of interest to you and you're considering contributing an implementation, before making a PR, please either:
- Open an issue in main Oxc repo to discuss, or
- Approach the core team on our Discord channel.
