More configurable options

I find myself wanting a snow fall effect that i can use in my background, and this looks like a nice and native way to do so. but its kind of... not great as it is. the flakes are too big, and they dont rotate (on any axis) at all.
Plus, i would like to be able to configure

• fall speed (and variance)
• rotation speed (and variance)
• size (and variance)
