wasn't this fixed?

apparently not. Steps to replicate:

create a new store from postgis

import and publish a layer (with no spaces in its name)

add it to map with geoserver explorer > ok

now enter GS control panel, enter layer properties and manually change its names and/or title to something containing spaces (permitted by geoserver)

(to be sure wipe QGIS cache)

the alyer cannot be loaded anymore from geoserver explorer, but can be loaded using QGIS WMS/WFS clients.

plugin:master
qgis: 2.18.9
gs: 2.11
