Keys erroneously repeat after computer sleeps

After going into hibernation, I am unable to log back in to computer due to random keys repeating. Other times I notice strange lag when typing in password, and have to slowly type one character after another. Behavior persists passed log in, and I will notice out of order characters when typing (tested repeatedly and it isn't due to mistyping). Upon quitting Karabiner, keyboard behavior returns to normal.
