Python 2.4 is not supported. It came out 8 years ago. That's older than Youtube. Upgrade.

While I agree that supporting Python 2.4 is inane, don't ever just upgrade Python on RedHat relatives. Installing a newer Python package has a tendency to bring yum crashing down. You have to go through some convoluted, alternative install nonsense.
