Regarding https://github.com/Qiskit/qiskit-experiments/blob/c5c1d7ee022206c170c7c2aced50f933e323c91e/qiskit_experiments/framework/experiment_data.py#L548-L562
For the Aer simulator, the code enters the if statement, but the try section fails. This results in dozens (I don't know why dozens and not a single) of warnings to the screen, when executing a simple experiment.

This warning is extremely unhelpful and is already slated to be removed as part of #843 .
