We are now using GitHub Discussions as an alternative to our mailing list, rabbitmq-users, and our slack, rabbitmq.slack.com.

As a participant, it is important that you abide by our code of conduct.

You are welcome to use Discussions for:

• Questions about how to use a particular feature in RabbitMQ
• Application and system design questions
• Discussing ideas around new features or potential changes to existing functionality
• Discussing any contributions you have in mind, e.g. to gather early feedback
• Collaborative investigation of the behaviour of a given RabbitMQ installation

Since all RabbitMQ development happens on GitHub, it is easier for you to reference issues and pull requests straight from Discussions. It is easier for us to convert issues into discussions without asking you to re-post to our mailing list.

Help us help you

Please help us contribute to your discussions by:

• providing essential information about your RabbitMQ installation
• providing logs and metrics
• sharing grafana snapshots is proven to be particularly helpful

Without this information, it is very hard - impossible in some cases - to be helpful.

A community resource

Discussions is a community resource. Help is given on a best effort basis.

Please be mindful of community members that are helping for free, some outside of working hours. While our team members do their best to be around and help, each of us has multiple responsibilities that require undivided attention for substantial amounts of time. There are no guarantees as to how quickly your questions will be answered, or how effective the recommendations will be.
