Cannot open tree with labelled nodes/branches #193
Comments
do you do bootstrap? @imogen-foote |
Yes I did bootstrap |
@imogen-foote do you handle it now? |
@liamxg no it's still not working. |
Hi Imogen, you may have solved this issue already but I was under the impression only nexus or newick format files are supported by figtree (obviously not if you have been able to import .phy files before) but maybe try one of those formats, i.e nexus or newick, if you can?? |
@zoe-elizz agree. |
I have constructed a ML in R and saved the output as .phy. When I try to open this file in FigTree I get the following message saying the node/branches of the tree are labelled and asking me to select a name for these values. No matter what I enter in this box when I click 'OK' the box disappears but the tree does not open.
I have also tried saving the output as .tre but have the same issue. Previous NJ trees I have made in R and saved as .phy open in FigTree with no issues.
Thanks
