the Tiles position is reset when i edit the map

When i edit the map with the tiles , i choose the tile position index position from the edit box , lets say: tile number 63 and make Enter , later when i want to edit the map with this selected Tile index (63) , its reset the the old value , in this way i can't edit the map. i need to do another focus on the map layout in order to edit it but ! i can't get tiles others than writing them . so if i want to edit with lets say empty tile (for a blank tile which is lets say its on index= #223 ) i can't do it! as far as i see . so to cut the issue: when i choose a tile index , i want to be able to edit the map with this selected tile! , and not the edit the map only with the A-B-C type on the keyboard which in many cases don't present keys! but Images ,so it doesn't help me either
