PackagingRelated to packaging of Salt, not Salt's support for package management.PlatformRelates to OS, containers, platform-based utilities like FS, system based appstech-debtTests
Instead of having CentOS Stream 8 and CentOS Stream 9 included in the CI/CD, alongside of AlmaLinux 8 and AlmaLinux 9, we should rely on AlmaLinux OS as providing the coverage we are looking for.
CentOS Stream is on a different EOL timeline than AlmaLinux and RHEL. AlmaLinux will be used as the primary representative to have closest testing/build to RHEL 8 and RHEL 9. This will also reduce infra cost and CI/CD execution time on Salt repo for PRs, branch merges, and releases.
