This is a compilation of feature wishes that we have on the radar, but are unlikely to be implemented any time soon if ever. To not clutter the issue tracker with these, we'll have this ticket to keep track of them.

Please don't comment in this issue tracker for a specific feature. For once I would like to encourage everybody to add their comments to the linked issues, even if they are closed for now. Once we see that a specific feature gets more requests it may also become a higher priority.

• Support input that has itself source mappings
• Add interface to intercept all/initial file-reading
• Full support for indented syntax and sourcemaps
• Define and expose AST tree (at which stages?)
• Add interface to intercept/manipulate any asset url
• Add support for virtual and prefilled overlay filesystem
• Better (internal) debugging support
• Serializable libsass context?
• Provide binaries for download
• Add trace_selectors support?
• Add project to google/oss-fuzz?
• Investigate/add caching strategies
