to have all the info in one place:

The issue I am having is present in both 2.3.0 and 2.3.1. It seems to be related to something about Cray- Ray crashes every time on Cray at the same point, but runs just fine using same data and command on Stampede, which uses OpenMPI and 'normal' gcc compiler.

maybe this is related to checkpointing like in #222
