AUTOSIG Version 7.0b
_______ June 18, 1995
AUTOSIG - ATO - has undergone many changes since AUTOADV.DOC (contained in
ATOADV.EXE) was completed in March, 1990. Some of those changes affect
the areas covered by AUTOADV.DOC. This document provides an update to cover
those changes.
ATOPPN - ATO Address Book:
This function is now simply the ATO address book (because is allows)
storing addresses other than PPNs. It is now documented in the main
ATO doc, AUTOSIG.DOC which is in ATODOC.EXE in library 1 of IBMCOM.
ATOSCR - Script File Processing updates
Changes in Version 7.0b
___________________________________
o set UPLAGREE as new script command to require user to type AGREE
for upload. UPL is now an *illegal* command and will simply be
ignored except in Mail. It can be used in Mail since there is no
AGREE requirement there.

NOTE THAT WHEN YOU USE THE UPLAGREE VERB YOU ARE AGREEING TO THE

o BPLUS script command tells ATO to accept a CIS B+ download. The
script must already have instructed CIS to start the download. Also
following script command should be a match to whatever CIS will use
as the next prompt following the download.
o Set up "super-literal" indicator for script line. If a tag component
starts with ASCII 204 (Ì), the rest of the line will be taken as a literal
with no interpretation at all.
o fix to return to active script after logon script executes
o fix problem caused if DOW script command had "ile" in it.
o add tag to script RUN command to allow specification of starting
statement within script to be RUN. Format is "Run <n>,<script>"
when <n> is the number of the first line in the script to be
executed. "RUN <script>" is still valid and is equivalent to
"RUN 1,<script>".
o paired single quotes within script literals will be interpreted to mean
one single quote is desired in the resulting literal.
Changes in Version 7.0a
___________________________________
o Script handling has been overhauled. The capacity has been increased
to 500 statements of 126 bytes each. Several more verbs have been
improved to expand symbolic variables. The %PCDATE and %PCTIME global
variables have been added to return the current date and time.
o Change script processor to display current statement on last line
o UPL command accepts variable symbols for filename
o GOTO is now case insensitive
o IF now recognizes null strings. Also the documentation of IF should say:
"The condition is set to TRUE if 'var2' occurs within the 'var1' variable,
as well as if they are exactly equal."
o No more than one MATCH command may be satisfied from any one line of
CIS output.
o DOW is not hung by "file not found" on CIS or by an attempted overwrite
on the PC disk. The script processor just goes on to process the next
command.
o The RUN verb has been added to the script processor. If the last statement
in a script is a RUN statement, it results in executing the name of the
specified script, e.g. RUN NEXTPASS.
o Add checking for LIB:ALL in DOW script commands.
o Add WRITELINE script command, same as WRITE except write <CRLF> after
specified text.
o Fix %COM so it shows comm input line at time of script Match.
o Remove trailing space after forum name on logon script verb.
o Clear forum flag for script command exit verb, prevents getting
hung up somewhere when trying to execute the command in the exit tag.
