I think this module is much better than the Elemental module. It's much easier to use and configure. You can use yml to define many areas. It's excellent.

I really hope this module will continue to be maintained as an alternative to the Elemental module. I wonder what the future plan is ?

Thanks for your comments. I've just updated the readme to clarify the status of this module. "This module is no longer maintained. If you would like to adopt it and give it a good home please submit your interest and I will be happy to discuss."

Agree with @sparkcom . This module was much more flexible than the (supported by SilverStripe) Elemental module. :(

I make it SS4.2 compatible here https://github.com/sparkcom/silverstripe-blocks/tree/ss42-compatible

I can maintain this module if that's ok.
